Femspreading is women’ incivility

In certain situations on public transportation, pairs of seats face each other with limited space between them. A woman or multiple women may cross their legs after sitting, taking up space and preventing others from accessing the front seat. Below is a picture of “femspreading” that someone took on a tramway in Montpellier, France in March 2019.

In the USA, a woman refused to remove her purse from the seat on a train, even though she was sitting next to an empty seat. This prevented people from sitting next to her.

It has been observed that some women lack basic principles of social conduct too. This is an issue that men should be aware of.
